Tidespace Rural Photo Festival Online Talk on Saturday 14th October 6.30pm.
The recent in-person talk at Tidespace by exhibiting photographers Coulson & Tennant / Leeming & Paterson sold out. So Saturday 14th October 6:30pm is a fantastic opportunity to catch these four fascinating photographers present and discuss their rural work, their approach to global and local image making, followed by conversations with the Tidespace curator, Ben Smith ‘A Small Voice photo podcast’ and the audience about the impact photography can have, creativity and collaborations, natural and AI processes, moving image and stills, ICM and lots lots more!
“What was especially interesting about last weeks in person talk with the four exhibiting photographers were the contrasts and parallels. All live here in Dumfries and Galloway, all have built extraordinary bodies of often radically exploratory global image making. They have each evolved practices which in the last 5+ years involved working collaboratively. With very different approaches and methods, all four chose, whenever possible, to place their focus on their immediate environment, in terms landscape, culture and community, exploring and enhancing, and in doing so all four are creating a very real influence and a legacy for this area of Scotland. And an added dimension for the online talk is having photographer’s favourite Ben Smith talking to them afterwards.” Tidespace curator
