The Solway Coast National Landscape team and partnership have reviewed and updated their statutory Management Plan, setting out a shared vision and priorities for conserving and enhancing this nationally protected landscape.
The Solway Coast National Landscape Partnership are pleased to announce that the draft Solway Coast National Landscape Management Plan 2027-2032 is now available for public consultation. The consultation will run for eight weeks throughout October and November 2026, and feedback is welcomed from residents, businesses, land managers, community groups, visitors and anyone with an interest in the Solway Coast.
The Management Plan is the key strategic document for the National Landscape, guiding the work of the Solway Coast National Landscape Partnership, local authorities, statutory agencies, land managers, community organisations and other partners. It identifies the area’s special qualities, the challenges it faces, and the actions needed to protect and enhance its natural beauty, wildlife, cultural heritage and sense of place over the next five years.

Feedback received during the consultation will help shape the final Management Plan and ensure it reflects the views and aspirations of the people who live, work and enjoy the Solway Coast National Landscape. Everyone with an interest in the future of the area is encouraged to take part and have their say.
