This year the Great British Beach Clean will take place between Friday 20th – Monday 23rd September and it would be great if you could take part.
Marine Conservation Society collect invaluable litter data during the Great British Beach Clean, reporting it back to UK governments and the global annual International Coastal Cleanup programme. Providing this data has helped to change policy and behaviours including the introduction of the 5p carrier bag charge.
Last year’s event had almost 15,000 volunteers taking part, removing over 305,000 litter items from our beaches. This year we hope to get rid of even more!
