We are inviting applications from communities around the Solway coast for projects that will provide benefit to the local community in the areas of Environment; Renewable energy; Energy efficiency; Sustainable development; Charity; Education; Community; and General community amenity schemes or projects. Some examples of projects funded in 2022 include: Kirkcudbright Skatepark’s purchase of picnic benches; and Cumbria Youth Alliance’s work with young people on Environmental Projects.”
Mike Edwards, Robin Rigg General Manager, “I’m delighted that we are once again inviting applications for the fourth year of the Robin Rigg Community Fund through the Solway Firth Partnership. We’ve seen over the past few years that the COVID-19 pandemic has had a big adverse impact on many local charities and community groups, so we feel it is more important than ever to offer this support in our neighbouring communities. This fund provides a great opportunity for local communities to benefit in 2023 so why not apply!”
