Rhins of Galloway Coast Path Entrance Feature

Rhins of Galloway Coast Path Entrance Feature.

The Rhins of Galloway Coast Path is progressing and the community is now being engaged on the signage and start/finish features.

The Rhins of Galloway Coast Path will start and finish on the harbourside, beside the Gateway to Galloway Tourist Information Centre and Community Hub.

This point was chosen because it will be easy to see for passing people and vehicles, and is beside an existing attraction. The area around the Centre has also been landscaped recently, giving the new trailhead a well-maintained and attractive setting.

The new trailhead has two key elements: the archway and a seat with interpretation and native planting. These features, and all the trail signage and interpretation, will use the same distinctive colour palette and materials. These take inspiration from the colours and textures of the Rhins landscape.
