Notice to Mariners of cable work in the Irish Sea, west of Portpatrick.
Global Marine will be conducting the installation of the Scot-NI 3 and Scot-NI 4 Telecommunications cables in Scottish and Northern Irish waters on behalf of British Telecommunications plc during the period 01/11/2021 to 20/12/2021.
The chart below shows the proposed cable routes and working areas. There will be various vessels associated with the project working in the outlined areas.
The vessel that will be supporting & conducting intertidal and nearshore cable installation & trenching works is TBC. These works will be conducted along with some supporting shallow draft vessels (RIBS). A summary of these works is provided below:
