Notice of Palnackie Harbour Wall Replacement

Notice of Palnackie Harbour Wall Replacement.

Scottish Water and the delivery contractor George Leslie Limited plan to start mobilisation on site week commencing 3rd November with the works expected to last until September 2026, 11 months of construction activity.

The works will consist of removal of all craft within the harbour and extending the existing rock bund into the remaining half of the harbour which will create a working area for the pile driving activity. Steel sheet piles will be driven into the line of the original wooden harbour wall to create the new permanent harbour wall. In addition to the steel sheet pile installation soil anchors will be driven into the ground behind the sheet pile wall to further stabilise the new installation. On completion of the piling and anchor works the rock bund will be removed and the harbour restored to its depth before the rock bund installation.
