New Vacancy for Catchment Nutrients Officer for Lake District National Park
This new post is for a Catchment Nutrients Officer to project manage, develop, coordinate and deliver a nutrient neutrality project in four Cumbrian SAC catchments (River Derwent, River Kent, Esthwaite Water, River Eden).
Working in the Strategy and Environment Team of the Lake District National Park, this role will help deliver a project to:
* Approve new planning applications
* Assist the delivery of the Cumbrian Authorities’ spatial strategies, particularly in respect of housing and tourism provision
* Create mitigation strategies options for each affected catchment
The role will line manage a Catchment Ecologist and work closely with and support specialist advisors, rangers, partners and contractors.
