The Marine Management Organisation (MMO) creates an enewsletter with updates and information on the progress of marine planning around England.
As planning progresses in the North West you can be notified of progress and updates through this enewsletter, such as the Consultation summary for the Draft North West (North East, South East and South West) Marine Plan, which is now available!
In the most recent enewsletter there was also a post about the MMO Enhancing Stakeholder Engagement Project, run by the MMO from 2017 until August 2020. Solway Firth Partnership was included in this project, running events to try and capture opinions of ‘hard to reach’ and cross border stakeholders at events such as the Big Red Bus tour, and creating the Solway Animation.
We weren’t the only Local Coastal Partnership involved in the project, we were actually one of nine partnerships helping to ensure hard to reach stakeholders voices were heard during the marine planning process.
There is even a word search at the end of the August enewsletter for some fun on your coffee break!
