Join a Whistle Stop Tour of the Archaeology of the Rhins

Join AOC Archaeology on Wednesday 22 July at 7pm for a whistle stop tour of the archaeology of the Rhins, with a focus on Doon Castle.

With the beginnings of relaxation of the lockdown Dumfries and Galloway Council are now able to re-start some of the Rhins Revealed engagement work which forms part of the Rhins of Galloway Coast Path project. In-person activities are still on hold for the time being but some events are being moved online.

Graeme Cavers from AOC Archaeology will talk the audience through the aims and planned activities of the Rhins Revealed Project. The presentation will be pre-recorded to guard against any technical glitches, but Graeme will be online and available from 7pm to 8pm to answer any queries you might have.

The current edition of Tidelines has an article about the Rhins Revealed project and the survey work undertaken at Doon Castle Broch last year which you may be interested to read.
