Job posts for Scottish East Coast Review

The Scottish East Coast Review (SEaCoR) is seeking a Project Officer and a Senior Project Officer. See the job description here; Job Description and Person Requirements SEaCoR.

The Scottish East Coast Review brings together four Local Coastal Partnerships (LCPs) to gather, synthesise and enhance access to actionable knowledge of the current state and future needs of the entire East Coast.

Greater knowledge of the condition, the diverse pressures and associated impacts, together with economic and social activities and their effects, will enable the LCPs to maintain their unique and distinctive role supporting local, regional and national stakeholders and their common purpose. Enhanced access and insight will facilitate planning and management at local and regional level.

The review will contribute crucial evidence required for statutory regional marine planning and to support effective management of sustainable coasts and seas.

It will explore the potential to incorporate more citizen science into the evidence base and future monitoring, and hence enhance local contribution to decision making.

By curating relevant information, the LCPs will be able to offer and provide crucial support to local communities considering development plans for their locale under new planning provisions and to business, which is taking an increasingly active interest in environment and sustainability matters.

The project is funded by the European Maritime & Fisheries Fund and Scottish Government.
