Estuaries & Coasts of North-west England, ECSA Focus meeting 20 to 22 May 2024 in Carlisle.
The 2024 ECSA Focus meeting will look at the Estuaries and Coasts of North-West England, including both sides of the Solway Firth. The area covered will be the Ribble, Morecambe Bay, the West Cumbria Coast and its Rivers, and the Solway Firth including South-West Scotland.
Focus meetings cover a wide range of topics ranging from novel science to nature conservation, recreation and the activities of local special interest groups. The informal atmosphere provides an ideal opportunity for students and early career scientists to present their work.
The meeting will be held between 20 – 22 May 2024 at the University of Cumbria’s Fusehill Campus in Carlisle. The main meeting will take place on 21 & 22 May and an (optional) field trip will be run on the afternoon of 20 May.
The Fusehill site is close to the city centre and within walking distance of Carlisle Railway Station.
