Consultation on River Basin Management Plan for the Solway Tweed

SEPA are carrying out a consultation on the River Basin Management Plan for the Solway Tweed.

SEPA is asking for your feedback on the proposed update to the Solway Tweed river basin management plan. Your responses to this consultation will help ensure that SEPA and the Environment Agency coordinate work to ensure the updated plan supports a green economy, wildlife and habitats and the health and well-being of local communities.

This consultation provides you with an overview of the plan for the Solway Tweed River Basin District. It highlights the challenges to the river catchments and estuaries that are in both Scotland and England, and the joint actions needed to resolve them. It is supported by detailed information for each of the individual stretches of river, lake, loch, coasts, estuaries and groundwater. There is also more information in the national reports, which set out the wider proposals for the water environment in Scotland and in England respectively.
