It’s not too late to book onto the North West Coastal Forum Conference on Habitat Restoration in Carlisle, 6 to 7 March.
On the 6 March there will be a full day conference featuring expert talks, a workshop, exhibitions and the announcement of the winners of the North West Awards for Coastal Excellence (see separate news item on how to apply for NWACE). The conference will be followed by a site visit to the Solway Coast on Friday 7 March to look at the Solway Firth Partnership’s CLEARcoasts Project work trialling saltmarsh restoration.
The event aims to:
Share learning and best practice for coastal habitat creation and restoration projects in North West England and elsewhere
Discuss mechanisms to facilitate future coastal habitat restoration and creation work
Celebrate and champion collaborative coastal work
The event is for anyone (individual or organisation) with an interest in coastal habitats and nature conservation work. You will gain greater knowledge and understanding of the potential for habitat restoration and creation in North West England and will have an opportunity to meet others with relevant experience and common goals, potentially helping you develop and collaborate on future projects.
