Project Gather: Beach Clean & Creative Workshops

Join Project Gather for a hands‑on introduction to ocean plastics and a series of creative workshops this March.

Project Gather invites you to take part in a unique programme exploring the issue of ocean plastic through creativity, storytelling, and practical action.

The project begins on Sunday 1st March with an introductory session and beach clean, offering the chance to learn first‑hand about the problem of marine litter while collecting materials to be used in the workshops that follow.

A range of creative activities will run throughout the month, inspired by the coastline and the items gathered from the shore. Workshops include:

  • Beach and portrait photography
  • Storytelling and creative writing
  • Cartoon strip creation
  • Cyanotype
  • Making beach‑litter lamps
  • Designing coast‑ers

All workshops are available to book here. They are free and open to all.

Looking to build confidence, skills, or a creative portfolio there will be plenty of opportunities ro get involved.

If transport is an issue, please get in touch — but still book your workshop places to secure them.

The project will culminate in a curated exhibition showcasing work created by participants. The exhibition will open to the public the following Sunday, celebrating creativity, community action, and highlighting some of the environmental issues facing our oceans.
