Call for Trustees for North West Coastal Forum.
The North West Coastal Forum (NWCF) – established in May 2000 as a multi-sector non-profit partnership – is setting out on a new journey as a registered charity (Charitable Incorporated Organisation).
To help the new charity grow they are looking for Trustees with a range of skills to help shape the NWCF’s future. These are voluntary, non-renumerated roles.
As the only regional coastal partnership in England the Forum has a long-established reputation for excellence. The Management Board which oversees the direction of the work of the Forum is made up of a range of different organisations including statutory bodies, NGOs and the private sector, so this is an exciting opportunity to work alongside dedicated professionals from a range of sectors with an interest in the coast and its communities.
The Trustees will oversee the management and general administration of the charity. Day to day operation will be managed by the Forum’s manager – currently a volunteer and the North West Coastal Coordinator. The manager will report to the Trustees and to the wider Expert Advisory Committee.
NWCF are looking for people with one or more of the following experience and skills:
Charity administration / management
Financial management (cash flow, budgeting, audit)
Human Resources
Business planning
Project management
Funding applications
Communications
Committee procedures
Partnership working across private, public and charitable sectors
Coastal management
If you are interested in becoming a Trustee please contact the NWCF Acting Chair, Caroline Salthouse, on info@nwcoastalforum.org.uk. Caroline will contact you to set up an informal discussion and guide you through the application process.
