Activities

This shingle beach often has lots of seashells. The beach is on a footpath route to the Mull of Galloway Trail. The Mull of Galloway to Stranraer section is 24 miles long and is mainly a coastal route taking in many of the coastal villages along the east side of the Mull. Full details of the route can be found on www.mullofgallowaytrail.co.uk

Ardwell Pond Walk (1.5 miles, 3km) Starting at the Chapel Rossan Bay car park, the route follows waymarkers through woodland to the elegant 18th century Ardwell House (which is not open to the public) The surrounding gardens and woodland were designed in the early 19th century and some of the trees date from then. Go to www.walkhighlands.co.uk for details.
