Where did it come from? Strandline Finds

As part of the 2021 Wild Goose Festival and the Solway Marine Litter Project, Solway Firth Partnership ran a Big Beach Clean at RSPB Mersehead  (www.rspb.org.uk/mersehead)  looking at strandline finds.

Where did it come from? 

Migration is amazing. Each year wildlife travel to the Solway, often covering vast distances. Winds and sea currents help or hinder migration and carry the plastics that wash up on our beaches. Volunteers came to clean the beach at Mersehead,  and be detectives to track down the source of the debris.
