Support for marine and fishing businesses has been announced by Scottish Government.
Fishing businesses and marine organisations in Scotland’s coastal communities will benefit from Marine Fund Scotland’s latest round of funding of more than £13 million.
A total of 60 projects which contribute to innovative and sustainable practices, minimise carbon emissions and support coastal communities, will receive grants ranging from £7,000 to £1.2 million.

Solway Firth Partnership (SFP) received over £40,000 for the ‘Positive Action for a Cleaner Solway’ Project to provide data on marine litter while improving environmental quality, social resilience and cohesion, and participants’ inclusion, health and well-being. SFP is also strengthening partnership working with local volunteer groups, businesses, and marine communities to undertake beach cleans workshops and general education.
