From 21 January until 29 March 2019 the MMO will be engaging publicly on their work to date in the development of the north west marine plans (Iteration 3).
This will provide stakeholders with an opportunity to input towards the development of marine plans in the north west area. The engagement will focus on:
• preferred draft policies;
• draft supporting text for policies including on implementation; and
• the next steps in marine planning
The online engagement will be the most comprehensive way to view and provide comment on these Iteration 3 products. They also provide an opportunity to consider the products ahead of the workshops being held across the north west area. Workshops will be taking place on 27 and 28 January 2019 as below.
You are cordially invited to join a workshop to see at first hand the MMO’s work on marine planning. To register please click on the links below.
North west | Carlisle | Tullie House | 27/02/19 |
North west | New Brighton | Floral Pavilion | 28/02/19 |
The workshops are full day events running from 9.30am – 4.00pm with lunch and refreshments provided. The workshops will all follow a similar structure.
After Iteration 3 the next formal opportunity for all stakeholders to comment is intended to be the statutory engagement on the published Consultation Draft marine plans which is currently set down for late 2019.
Please note that registration for each will close a week before the event takes place.
If you have any questions about the workshops, or to discuss the marine plans for the north west generally, please do not hesitate to contact the team on planning@marinemanagement.org.uk or click on subscribe to receive regular updates on Marine Planning in the north west.
