SOLWAY FIRTH PARTNERSHIP – SOLWAY MARINE INFORMATION LEARNING EDUCATION PROJECT OFFICER POST
£25,750 (Full time 35 hrs/week)

Solway Firth Partnership is seeking applications for the post of Project Officer for the SMILE (Solway Marine Information Learning Education) Project. The Project Officer will be an enthusiastic, positive and self-motivated person who will deliver the remaining two years of the three year SMILE project, developing and using novel methodology for engaging with the public / local communities / sectoral groups around the Solway to both raise awareness of marine planning and to gather local knowledge and information on sectors within the Solway. The successful candidate will have a relevant degree (or equivalent qualifications) and appropriate experience in a related field; a wide understanding of Dumfries and Galloway’s coastal/marine stakeholders; excellent organisational and communication skills; good IT skills; experience of using social media to engage with the public; and a flexible and enthusiastic approach. A full driving licence with use of a vehicle is required.
