SFP to Present at ReMeMaRe Conference.
Our very own Project Officer, Shovi Anjum, will be presenting at this year’s ReMeMaRe conference in Scarborough on Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 July.
Shovi will be talking on the theme of ‘Restoring Together: Empowering Communities’ after her experience of running the CLEARcoasts Project on the Cumbrian Solway coast for the last 2 years.
The project has brought together public and private sector groups to coordinate and deliver coastal habitat restoration. Working across the Cumbrian Solway, CLEARcoasts trials BESE-elements® biodegradable matting as an innovative Nature-based Solution (NbS) for saltmarsh restoration, combining scientific monitoring with community involvement. In her presentation, Shovi will take the audience on a journey through CLEARcoasts’ transition from monitoring to practice through multiple project phases, leveraging grassroots-scale methodologies and strong partnerships to deliver real-world restoration.
