Dr Tori Herridge, evolutionary biologist at the University of Sheffield, mammoth expert and broadcaster is sure to be a big hit at Solway Firth Partnership / Solway Coast AONB Joint Conference on Friday 17th November 2023.

A great range of subjects from both sides of the Solway are on the programme for this year’s Solway conference.

The joint Solway Firth Partnership (SFP) and Solway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) Conference will be held on Friday 17th November in person at the Halston Hotel, Carlisle and online. There is still time to book your place.

The event is free of charge and includes a buffet lunch but places, both in person and online, are limited so book quickly!

The programme will span a wide range of subjects and include contributions from both sides of the Solway: topics of the day will include nature recovery and species on the edge, archaeological discoveries on the Solway, creative approaches to marine litter, sense of place and sustainable tourism to name just a few. There will also be snapshot updates on a variety of other topical Solway projects and initiatives!

The highlight of the day will be a talk by Dr Tori Herridge, well known as a presenter on the Channel 4 series “Britain at Low Tide”.
