Seafood Producers Resilience Fund – Still time to apply

Eligible fishing vessels still have time to apply for funding from the Seafood Producers Resilience Fund.

The Seafood Producers Resilience Fund will provide support to eligible shellfish catchers and eligible shellfish and trout aquaculture undertakings. These businesses have lost access to domestic and international food markets as a result of COVID-19, and the difficult trading conditions that have resulted from the end of the transition period following the UK’s withdrawal from the EU.

This funding does not prevent vessels from fishing, or businesses from operating.

Businesses will not be contacted individually about the fund and instead should access the Scottish Government website to check eligibility and work through the separate applications that are available for aquaculture and fishing vessels.

To prevent any delays to the process, before applying businesses are recommended to access the example applications on the website to see how the forms should be correctly filled in.

Fishers have until 26 February to apply for the scheme.
