NWIFCA Senior Scientist Vacancy

A Vacancy as arisen for a Senior Scientist with the NWIFCA.

NWIFCA is lead regulator protecting the inshore marine environment and fisheries in NW England. NWIFCA District extends from the Welsh border in the south to the Scottish border in the north and seawards out to 6 miles.

A senior vacancy is currently available in fisheries management with NWIFCA:
Senior Scientist to lead NWIFCA science and conservation team of 3 Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Advisors (Based in Carnforth with travel throughout the District)

The job purpose is – To assist with the management of fisheries within the North Western IFCA district and promote the sustainable use of marine resources. The role will require managing a small team of three Inshore and Fisheries and Conservation Advisor across a wide variety of tasks. The Senior Scientist post will contribute to the overall work of NWIFCA including the success criteria set out in NWIFCA Annual Plan.
