MMO Seek Experience of Using Marine Plans

MMO Seek Experience of Using Marine Plans.

The Marine Management Organisation want to hear about your experience of using the Marine Plans

Are you a marine user in one of England’s marine plan areas? Do you have experience of using the Marine Plans in another capacity, or a strong interest in marine planning in England? If so, this is your chance to have your say on the English Marine Plans.

On 9 May 2023 the Marine Management Organisation (MMO) launched the latest monitoring survey for all marine plan areas in England, providing an opportunity for stakeholders to feedback on marine plans.

Please respond before 30 June 2023.

The MMO are interested in:
– how the marine plans are being used to inform development of terrestrial local plans
– how they are being applied in development management
– how they are being used in developing or submitting a marine licence proposal

Your feedback is important to the MMO, they appreciate every response to the surveys.

The monitoring survey is your opportunity to tell the MMO how marine plans are being considered in the application process and in the formation of local plans and development.

Marine plan policies cover a varied rage of activities that support the sustainable development of our marine environment, from aquaculture to aggregates, renewables to seascape, and ports and shipping to tourism and recreation.

Information on marine plan policy can be viewed spatially on the Explore Marine Plans interactive digital tool.

To share your views please complete the monitoring survey at North West Marine Plan

Please respond before Friday 30 June 2023.

Each survey should take less than one hour to complete, depending on your chosen sector and plan area. This does not have to be completed in a single session, you can leave and return to it later (provided you use the same computer and you do not delete your browser history).

Your activity may occur in an area which borders a neighbouring marine plan area, in which case the MMO would greatly appreciate your responses to the surveys for both areas.

Please complete your survey in full before submitting, as the MMO are unable to accept partially completed surveys.
