EcoArt’s environmental signalling flag/ tall ship project at Palnackie on 30 October.
Join the celebratory flag raising parade and ceremony followed by live music, food and art at Palnackie on 30 October. Environmental signalling flags have been made by the coastal communities around Dalbeattie, Auchencairn and Palnackie and these will be raised on the tallship ‘La Malouine’ before heading off to be flown at The Landing Hub at COP26 in Glasgow as a message to world leaders from Dumfries and Galloway.
There’ll be live music from Greg Lawson and Pete Garnett of Moshies Bagel, the Isle of Cumbrae pipeband and The Samba Sisters. There’ll be free soup, conversation and participatory activities – including Abi with the Fork to Farm Dialogues jigsaw – leading into the lighting of the ship at dusk.
