Solway Firth Partnership Short listed for Third Sector Award


Solway Firth Partnership (SFP) attended the Third Sector Awards on Thursday 4 June at Easterbrook Hall in Dumfries.

 

SFP was short listed for a Third Sector Award under the 'Environment' category for their contribution to projects engaging with communities and promoting sustainabililty. SFP has hosted the EU funded 'Young EU citizens for a sustainable coastline' project, supported Environment Fair 2015 by bringing together university student volunteers and currently leads on a community project to enhance the amentiy of Loch Ryan and the surrounding area.

The nomination stated, "SFP deserves to win this award because they are a small team of motivated, hard-working people; dedicated and passionate to celebrate, protect and sustain the natural and cultural heritage of Dumfries and Galloway."

 

Congratulations go to the Auchencairn Link Park which won the award for the Environment category on the day.
