Succorfish Meeting at the Creebridge House Hotel, Newton Stewart, at 7 pm on Wednesday 19 November

The meeting is being held to discuss an EFF Inshore Fisheries Project titled 'Establishing the location of fishing activities' in which skippers/vessel owners can trial the Succorfish SC2 vessel monitoring unit (which transmits vessel location via AIS). The skippers/vessel owners who volunteer would obtain the Succorfish unit free of charge (value c£1000), and installation will take place in January. The project is open to any <12m vessels, cross-sector.

The EFF Inshore Fisheries Project team would be delighted if local skippers/vessel owners could come along to the meeting to learn more about the Succorfish units, have any questions answered and sign up for the project if they wish.

More information including an application form for a Succorfish unit can be found here.

Note: Any skippers/vessel owners who want to sign up for a Succorfish unit direct can do so by filling in the application form available on the link above, calling 0800 043 3474, or can apply online here: http://www.jotformeu.com/Inshorefisheries/vessels
