Review of the Report 'Marine Invasive Non-Native Species in the Solway Firth, Revised for 2018-21' is now out to consultation

The draft Report 'Marine Invasive Non-Native Species in the Solway Firth - Revised for 2018-21' is now being consulted on.


The revised draft plan describes the biosecurity issues of the Solway and presents actions that have been agreed with stakeholders for the prevention, early detection, control and mitigation of the introduction and spread of Marine Invasive Non-Native Species (INNS) and those INNS of freshwater and brackish water that impact on the marine and coastal environment. 


The vision of this plan is:

‘To establish a sustainable framework for preventing, detecting and controlling marine invasive non-native species within the Solway Firth Partnership area through appropriate management, data collection, liaison and education.’
