The Great Winter Nurdle Hunt, 3 - 5 Feb 2017

Join the chilly winter nurdle hunt this February!

Billions of pellets are lost to the UK environment each year, according to recent studies, with evidence building that they can significantly harm marine life once at sea. However, this pollutant remains under the radar of the general public and many decision makers.

The UK government is inviting evidence on different sources of microplastic and what we can do to reduce them, as part of its microbeads consultation. We need to make sure that the government knows about this problem! That's where you come in.

Winter Nurdle Hunt

Take part from 3 to 5 Feb at a beach near you! You can hunt for nurdles anywhere you like! The Nurdle Hunt is looking for as many parts of the UK to be covered as possible.

The information you gather this weekend will help show the UK Government that pellets really are found on beaches all around the UK, and that people care about the issue. So please join the chilly mission to hunt these pesky pellets!
