SIMCelt Project Officer Vacancy


Solway Firth Partnership is seeking a Project Officer on a fixed term appointment to support an EU-funded initiative looking at transboundary and cross-border marine planning in the Solway Firth.

 

The Project Officer will be a positive and self-motivated person who will provide support on a range of tasks including an assessment of the requirements of relevant legislation relating to marine planning in the Solway Firth area and will report on proposals to address the commitment to achieving an integrated approach to marine planning for this important ecological unit.  The successful candidate will have a relevant degree (or equivalent qualifications) or a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related field, a wide understanding of coastal and marine issues, excellent organisational,  communication and IT skills, a flexible and enthusiastic approach and a full driving licence with use of a vehicle.
