Description Brighouse Bay has a small sheltered sandy beach flanked by rocky outcrops. Shallow water means a large expanse of wet sand is exposed at low tide as well as rock pools. The adjacent holiday park provides a shop and café. The beach can occasionally be very busy in the summer but provides many opportunities to explore the surrounding countryside which is noted for its wildlife including flowers such as the Perennial Blue Flax, the Northern Brown Argus butterfly and cliff nesting sea birds.
